Week Two: Online Communities

The online community I chose was Facebook. Facebook was fairly simple to find my way around. I used this online community to keep in touch with family and friends. It will be helpful in the future to correspond with co-workers, family and friends. Libraries can use this resource as a tool for networking with other libraries by posting information as it becomes available. The patrons would be able to become a fan of our page which would kept them informed of what's new at the library and the coming events.

My name is Marilyn Malbrough and I'm Head of the Circulation Department at Great Bend Public Library. This is my first time blogging and I'm interested in learning new things. This will be an interesting few months for me and I'm truly looking forward to broadening my horizons.
